This day we started with a visit to Marathon Kotroni. The Whether was even worse the yesterday just low clouds and a muggy grey. With Marathon being on a hill top we feared the worst.

Driving true the hills near Marathon gave the the impression that it was about to start raining. From the outside nothing much can be seen of the base, the road leading to the gate winds its way up the hill to a guard house half way up the hill. Our host did everything to make this visit as enjoyable as possible. After taking pictures of every chopper present, a briefing and some more coffee it was on to the next field. We had not seen a RF-4 yet and there was time to spare.
