10-11-2008 Deklia, Tanagra

Next stop was Deklia Tatoiater this base holds the Air Force Museum and 359 MEADY flying the Dromedare and 360 MEA flying the T/41. Also present is the fixed wing part of the Coast Guard. The static represented not more then some of the based aircraft.
After the static we visited the museum store, after completing the store we where informed that is was not open to the public.
The museum has a nice collection of planes that served with the air force and is starting a collection off WWII wrecks selvedge from the see.

last base of the day was Tanagra home of the Mirage 2000 fleet. On entering the base there where stored aircraft everywhere going from F 102 to a complete circle of Mirage F1.
Parking on the end of the parallel runway we had a peek at the planes parked at Hellenic Aerospace. The static was no more then a A7 and A F16. There where 2 Mirages in shelters and 2 in a hanger. Tanagra was very relaxed we could even take some pictures off landing Mirage 2000.
The evening was spend in downtown Elefsina having a good meal in a small restaurant and spending some time lounging. A other day well spent.
