Today it was off to the same spot at
Chiayi as earlier in the week, the flying was about the same but
the security check was a more intense than earlier in the week.
They where there in
full force and even had questions about other airfields where they had
seen a group from about 7 people.
This day we saw a decent
amount of F-16's including a special tail F-16's and a Beech
1900. At the end of the morning mission we left for Tainan for
another go at the AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kuo.
Very soon after arriving
at Tainan there was a other security team to
great us and it became clear that information was shared between the teams.
Spotting was still no problem as long as we did not take pictures of the
infrastructure.
A visiting C-130 Hercules and an F-16 from Hualien made our day even better
as we skipped Hualien due to the weather.
With a reasonable
number of AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kuo pictured we left for downtown Tainan to have a
look at the Dutch history still present in this city, things like fort Zealandia
and the different towers in the city.
Our security team
for the afternoon followed us to our coffee break where they
were content that we were done with spotting for the day, and
went there one way.
In Tainan the oldest city of Taiwan, we visited Fort Provintia
in the centre witch used to be part of the old Dutch VOC colony of Formosa.
And we agian had a good
mail at one of the many small Chinese restaurants downtown.
