After an early breakfast it was off to the air show at Shearwater. With our press card access we could get quickly true the VIP lane, passing the big traffic jam. After the necessary paperwork it was on to the aircraft on the static display before the show would open. The static display was filled with planes and as expected with a great contribution of the United States Navy. …

Our press cards did not gave us walking excess to the far part of the flight line. Luckily a helicopter pilot was available to accompany us to this part of the flight line where also the home based CH124’s ( Canadian Sea King’s) where placed to make room on the static tarmac. It was an very enjoyable day, and with the assistance of the public relation officers there were possibilities to add to our original plans and all aircraft present where seen.
