A other day at BA112 Reims-Champagne,
Seizing the opportunity to see the
Mirage F1 before disbandment we went to Reims last Wednesday.
on arrival at thus day evening they where still flying around 23:30.
The next morning flying started around 09:45 and they where still flying
when we left around 18:00. Reims is at the moment a nice place to visit
whit more then enough activity and all the Mirage F1 left in service
with the French Air Force
Of the two squadrons at Reims, ER 01/033 is due to disband on June 24th of
this year, with its aircraft then being transferred to ER 02/033. This
unit will then continue to fly at Reims until some time in 2011 when the
squadron will transfer to Mont De Marsan. The expectation then is that
BA.112 will close.
Closing a other base with good spotting opportunities in the north of
France.
