The Irish Air Corps is a force from witch you don’t see aircraft very often in
mainland
Europe.
Some of the
transport planes like the Beech and the Gulfstream are regular visitors but for example the SF260 have only been once to
Belgium.
Therefore the only way to see the majority of the Irish Air Corp there is only one a visit to Baldonnel. With the resend
restructuring of the Irish Air Corp all the squadrons are based at Baldonnel with only two detachments at other airfields
Ryaniar was doing a very good offer travelling from Brussels south also known as Charleroi only 60 km south of Brussels.
After a short flight we arrived in Dublin and were of in our hired car to Baldonnel. Here we where greeted by the public relations officer and started our visit to the base. Thanks to his cooperation noting was mist and we had a good
visit.
