We started the
trip on Friday with the flight from Amsterdam to Narita with the
KLM.
After landing at
Narita the whole process of clearing customs and collecting the
luggage and rental car took about 2 hours, much more than we had
planned for, but we were on the way to Hyakuri.

A
quick drive to Hyakuri AFB got us at the civil terminal to
witness the last part of the practice for the airs show the next
day. With the nice sunny weather we were having that day there
were still opportunities to take some nice pictures of the
different F-4 flying the last demos of the practise.
The rest of the afternoon was spending taking
pictures around the base and from the peace towers of the
aircraft that were parked out of the way for the air show the
next day.

With the sun going down we went to the QRA sheds to picture the F-4’s inside , but had a bonus in the form of a practice run by the QRA in the last light of the day. |

After a good dinner in a traditional Japanese restaurant we headed back to our hotel
For a good night sleep and an early start next morning , to try to be on base before the crowds would be. |
