The Musee Aeronautique D'Orange at Orange. Also known as Association "Les amis de la 5eme escadre" was founded by Michel Tourniaire a former industrial who did not have in his career a direct connection with aviation.

It displays about forty aircraft in a still growing collection, the last edition being a Jaguar E. The collection includes some foring aircraft but the main focus is on the preservation of French military aviation.

The museum is located on a industrial estate along road RN7 on the southern edge of Orange. At the moment de collection is housed here in a space not really designed for a museum. The collection is more stored than displayed, with covers protecting the aircraft for future display.

The aim is to created a museum in a purpose build building in the aria. The association is doing its one restorations and maintenance in a small workshop at the site.

The "Musee Aeronautique D'Orange" is a good place to pay a visit when you are in this region of France and combined with the Musée Européen de l'aviation de chasse in Montelimar nearby it will make a good day out.
